For my fourth trip, last year I went to Italy with my parents. It was very relaxing and we just spend the days laying at the beach. Very peaceful. One of the days we went to Venice and some other islands I can’t remember the names on – but they were extremely beautiful.
In the end of the vacation my sister joined us, which was very cozy. After 2 weeks in Italy we drove back to Denmark and the day after I was off to Turkey.
For my third trip this year I went to Berlin to visit a friend of mine who was, at the time, studying there. This was my third time in Berlin and I really like the city, but at the same time I will admit that it will be awhile before I go back again.
But, even though this was my third time in Berlin I was not bored at all. Berlin is such an amazing city and since my friend lived there at the time she knew where to find the good local restaurants and parks, so I did not feel like a tourist at all.
Of course, we also went shopping, visited attractions, partied and went to a big outdoor event where we saw the German national football team play in the World Cup and luckily they won the game.
My second trip this year went to Amsterdam and this was actually a school trip. This was my first time in Amsterdam and I definitely fell in love with the city. I love the canals, the old buildings and the feeling in the city.
Even though this was a school trip I only saw my teachers twice. We had some tasks we had to do, but we also had a lot of free time. So, of course, I went shopping, visited the Heineken Museum and just walked around enjoying the city.
I am definitely planning to go back and luckily Amsterdam is not far away from Denmark.
Travel wise, 2016 has been an amazing year. I have visited Chicago, Amsterdam, Berlin, Italy and Turkey and I have therefore decided to dedicate 5 blog posts where I will tell you about each destination.
Back in January I went back to Chicago where I used to live and work as an au pair. I visited my old host family and a good friend of mine. My friend and I went downtown where we went to Navy Pier, The Bean, and just walked around and enjoyed the city. We ate good American fast-food and I had my first legal drink in the states. I was also lucky that my host family invited my along on small family trip to Muskegon, where went to a luge track, which did not go that well since I ended up in the ER with a sprained angle, ups.
Chicago is probably my favorite city in the world and I was actually thinking about going back again in January but decided to go to New York instead to see something else. I also thing that next time I go to Chicago it will be in the summer J
I have to admit that I LOVE the Kardashians and I am not even sure why. I guess it is because they love each other so unconditionally and I find that very inspiring. My favorite Kardashian is actually a Jenner-girl, because I love Kendall Jenner. I love her style, her personality and how she thinks that natural beauty rock. And then I like that she wears sneakers and flat shoes, because lets be real – it is not possible to wear high heels in rain and snow 🙂
Today I am having a self-study day, where I have to work on my personal portfolio. I am using Adobe Portfolio, because I am not the biggest coder. Next semester I will start looking for internships, which is why I have to finish my portfolio this semester.
When I have self-study days I try to make them as cosy as possible. I will light up some candles, have a good lunch, drink lots of tea and stay in my pajamas the whole day.
This will be my first blogpost! And I am so excited to invite you all into my life. But before it gets to serious, we should start getting to know each other, so here is a few facts about me.
First of all I am 22 years old and I have two older siblings. I live in the second biggest city in Denmark, Aarhus, which is a wonderful place. I study Multimedia design and Communication at Business Academy Aarhus. And then I will be an aunt in the end of December, because my sister is having a baby-boy.
I love to travel and I just planned a trip to New York in the middle of January 2017, so if you have any tips to what I have to see, feel free to come with suggestions!
